Getting started

Create your first workspace

A workspace is the home for your team, your brand and every document you make. Setting one up takes a couple of minutes — here's what each step does.

What a workspace is

Your workspace represents your company inside waxTable. It holds your branding (so every document looks like you), your team, your projects, and your plan and credits. Most companies need exactly one workspace; agencies running separate brands sometimes keep one per brand.

Create your workspace

  1. Sign up and confirm your email

Use a work email so teammates can find and join your workspace later.

  2. Name the workspace

Use your company name — it appears in document defaults and in your team's account menu.

  3. Tell Waxe about your business

A short description of what you do helps Waxe pitch, scope and price documents the way your industry expects.

  4. Add your brand basics

Upload a logo and set your primary colours and fonts so your first document is already on-brand.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have more than one workspace?

Yes. Most companies use one, but you can create separate workspaces — for example to keep two brands or two business units apart. Each has its own brand, team, projects and billing.

Will my teammates see everything in the workspace?

What each person can see and do depends on their role. See Permissions explained.

Do I have to set up branding before I can generate?

No — you can generate straight away. But adding a logo and brand colours first makes the result look far more polished, so it's worth two minutes up front.
