Getting started

Generate your first document

Describe the job, let Waxe draft the whole document, and review a finished page in minutes. Here's the end-to-end flow for your first generation.

Start a document

  1. Create a document and pick the type

Proposal, scope of work, contract, invoice and so on — each type carries its own structure and judgment about what a good version contains.

  2. Describe the client and the work

Plain language is fine. Tell Waxe who it's for, what you'll deliver, and any commercials you already know.

  3. Or point Waxe at a source

Paste a brief, an email, or your own notes and Waxe will read them instead of starting from a blank prompt.

Waxe plans and drafts

Waxe works out the scope, breaks it into priced workstreams, writes the copy and lays the whole thing out — already wearing your brand. Where your brief is thin, Waxe infers sensible deliverables, phases and pricing for your industry rather than leaving gaps for you to fill.

Review in a real editor

You see the finished document exactly as the client will, page by page. Edit anything two ways:

  • Type directly on the page to fix wording, numbers or details.
  • Tell Waxe what to change — “make the timeline four weeks,” “drop the third tier,” “add a payment-terms section.”

Approve, send and track

When it's right, route it for internal sign-off if you need to, send it from your own domain, and watch when the client opens and reads it. Won the work? Turn the proposal into a scope, a contract and invoices — each reusing what Waxe already knows about the deal.

Frequently asked questions

What if the first draft isn't quite right?

That's expected — review and refine. Type small fixes directly, or ask Waxe for targeted changes. See Make surgical edits.

How much detail should I give Waxe up front?

Enough to be specific about the client and the deliverables. More context means a closer first draft, but Waxe fills sensible gaps where you're brief. See Brief Waxe for a great draft.

Can I generate a different document type from the same information?

Yes. Once a deal exists, you can spin up the scope, contract or invoice and Waxe reuses the client and deal context rather than asking again.

Does generation cost extra?

Generations draw on your plan's credits — each task deducts credits for the AI work it uses, not per token or per document. See How credits work.
