Troubleshooting

Browser support & requirements

waxTable renders real paginated documents in the browser, so a current browser and a few settings matter — here's what it needs and how to fix rendering glitches.

What waxTable needs

The editor draws a real, paginated document on screen — what you edit is what you send — which asks a little more of the browser than a plain web page. The good news is that any modern, up-to-date browser handles it well.

  • A current version of a mainstream desktop browser, kept up to date.
  • JavaScript enabled — the editor won't work without it.
  • Cookies and local storage allowed for waxTable, so you stay signed in and your work saves.
  • A reasonably modern computer; very old devices may render the paged editor slowly.

Getting the best experience

For editing and reviewing documents, a desktop or laptop gives you the room to see a full page and work with precision. A larger screen makes pagination and layout far easier to judge before you send.

  1. Use a desktop browser to edit

The paged editor is designed for a full-size screen; phones and small tablets are fine for a quick read but cramped for editing.

  2. Update before you troubleshoot

Install any pending browser update first — it resolves a surprising share of rendering issues.

  3. Allow waxTable's cookies and storage

This keeps you signed in and lets your work save reliably between edits.

Fixing rendering glitches

If a document renders oddly — fonts not loading, blocks misaligned, or the editor feeling sluggish — these steps clear the vast majority of cases.

  • Reload the page to clear a one-off glitch.
  • Update your browser to the latest version.
  • Disable extensions, especially ad or script blockers, that can interfere with the editor.
  • Clear your cache, or try a private window to rule out stale cached files.
  • Switch to another supported browser to confirm whether the issue follows you.

If it's still broken

If you've updated, cleared cache and disabled extensions and a document still won't render correctly, the problem may be the document rather than the browser.

  • Confirm the same issue happens in a second supported browser.
  • Check whether it's a layout problem in the document itself — see A document looks wrong.
  • Capture a screenshot and note your browser and version.

Then send it to Contact support.

Frequently asked questions

Which browsers does waxTable support?

Any current version of a mainstream desktop browser, kept up to date. The editor relies on modern web features, so an old or unmaintained browser may not render documents correctly — update first if something looks off.

Can I use waxTable on my phone?

You can sign in and read documents on a phone, but the paged editor is built for a full-size screen. For editing and reviewing layout, use a desktop or laptop.

The editor looks broken or won't load — why?

The usual causes are an out-of-date browser or an extension blocking scripts. Update the browser, disable ad or script blockers, reload, or try a private window. If it persists, see A document looks wrong.

Do I need to allow cookies?

Yes. waxTable needs cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to save your work reliably. Blocking them will cause sign-in and saving to fail.
