Frequently asked questions

Do I have to create a project before I can generate a document?

A document always lives inside a project, but you rarely think about it as a separate step — when you start a job, waxTable sets up the project for you and Waxe drafts straight into it.

Is a project the same as a client?

No. A project is a single deal or engagement. One client can have several projects over time, each with its own documents, phase and status.

Can I run my whole sales pipeline in here?

Yes. The board view, phases and statuses let you track deals from first draft to won, so the same place that writes the proposal also tracks where it stands.

What happens to a project after the work is delivered?

It stays in your workspace as a record. You can reuse its won documents to spin up the next scope, contract or invoice without retyping the details.
