Why two logo versions
A single logo rarely works everywhere. A dark mark looks sharp on a pale page but disappears on a dark band; a pale mark does the reverse. Giving Waxe both versions means your logo always sits on the right background.

Getting clean results
A few simple choices make the difference between a crisp mark and a fuzzy one.
- Use a transparent background so the logo sits cleanly on any colour.
- Supply a high-resolution file so it stays sharp when scaled.
- Trim excess padding around the mark so it sits neatly in headers and footers.
- Make sure each version actually contrasts with the background it's meant for.
- A white logo on a white background — it will vanish.
- A tiny, low-resolution image stretched to fit.
- A logo with a baked-in coloured box that fights your page design.
How Waxe chooses a variant
When Waxe composes a document, it places the logo where it belongs and selects the variant that contrasts with the background behind it — your dark mark on light sections, your light mark on dark ones. This matters most in directions with dramatic, dark backgrounds such as Immersive & High-End.
If only one variant is provided, Waxe uses it everywhere, which can leave the mark hard to read on the opposite background. Supplying both avoids that.
If a logo looks wrong
If your logo appears washed out, cropped or hard to read, check the source files first, then adjust in the editor.
- Re-upload a transparent, higher-resolution version if it looks fuzzy.
- Add the missing variant if the mark only struggles on one background.
- Ask Waxe to move or resize the logo on a specific page, or adjust it directly in the editor.
